Southampton Crematorium is located on Bassett Green Road, Southampton, Hampshire, SO16 3QB. Run by Southampton City Council, it serves families across Southampton and northern Hampshire.
There are two chapels: the larger seats 126 people, while the smaller seats 45 and offers a more intimate setting. Both are surrounded by 15 acres of mature woodland, with streams, ponds and wild deer, providing a peaceful setting for services.
Families can also choose to witness the committal, either from a viewing gallery or on screen in the larger chapel. We can make the necessary arrangements if this is something you would like.
The crematorium is easily accessible by road, close to the M27, and near Swaythling railway station. Its Gardens of Remembrance provide a place for families to scatter ashes or return to in the future.

A simple service at New Milton Crematorium with family and friends present. This option provides the opportunity to come together and say goodbye in a peaceful setting, without the formality of a traditional funeral.
A fully personalised funeral service held at New Milton Crematorium. We will help you create a farewell that reflects the person who has died, supporting you with every aspect of the arrangements, from music and readings through to the return of the ashes.

When you call us, you will not need to contact the crematorium separately. We take care of all liaison with New Forest Crematorium on your behalf, from the first call through to the day of the service.
We collect your loved one and bring them into our care straightaway. We manage all paperwork, including support with death registration, coordinate everything directly with the crematorium, and arrange all transport. Once the cremation has taken place, we return the ashes to you with care and without rush.
We will walk you through each step as it approaches, so nothing comes as a surprise. You can ask us anything at any point, and we will always give you a straight answer.
