Embrace Earthurns

Embrace Earthurns are also fully biodegradable and are designed for ground burial. Some of the Embrace Earthurns can be personalized with a photograph, measuring 3.5 inches x 3.5 inches. These urns are slightly smaller than the standard-size Embrace urns described below; please ask us if you would like any further information.

The Floral Bouquet Embrace Earthurn pictured above, features handmade paper flowers inset into the decorative blue top. There are also white and autumn leaves Embrace Earthurns available. The white Embrace Earthurn is made from a natural hemp covered base with a simple handmade paper top which is inlaid with floral material crafted by hand into the shape of a flower.

The Autumn Leaves urn is made from black handmade paper inlaid with real leaves. These urns are available in standard, medium, and mini sizes.

Scatter Tube

Scatter Tubes

Should you wish to scatter you loved one’s ashes, you may wish to consider using a Scatter Tube. These are tubes made from recycled card, which can be recycled or composted after use, and which come in an extremely wide range of attractive designs. Please see below for some examples.

Ashes at Sea

Journey Earthurn – Also known as a Sea Urn or a Sea Pillow.

This biodegradable water urn is handmade using a centuries old paper making technique. The bark from the mulberry tree is harvested, leaving the tree alive and intact. After the bark is soaked, the resulting pulp is laid out on bamboo screens. When the Pillows come to be used, the ashes are placed inside a water-soluble bag, which is then placed inside the Pillow.

Sea Pillows are suitable for deeper rivers, lakes or the sea. When placed in water they will float briefly and then gently sink to the bottom, where they break down naturally over time. They are approved for use by the Royal Navy.

The Sea Pillows come in six colours and there are matching ‘mini’ urns available.

Karen

I’ve never lost a parent and didn’t have a clue what I should be doing - James made us feel very relaxed, made sure that our mum would be well looked after with him which gave us comfort. The celebrant he chose was absolutely brilliant and really made the whole experience extremely personal to us. James even sourced out a Leopard print coffin for us - the first in 22 years apparently! Would really recommend
